"Winterize" Your Summer Wear

Are you not quite ready to shelve the summer clothes you love? Why not incorporate your fave warm weather pieces through autumn and winter giving you a more fabulous wardrobe all year round!

It is surprisingly easy to "winterize" your summer wear. Not only is it cost effective, but a great way to add some well needed flair to the typically more conservative looks we see when the temperature drops. Here's our top tips for how to style your summer wardrobe for winter:

Layer Over, Under, or Both. A pretty summer dress or skirt can be easily transformed by pairing them with knitwear. Keep the knitwear simple in design and colour so as not to clash with the print of the dress of skirt. Our Oatmeal Knit Top is a lightweight piece that’s perfect for layering because of its neutral base.

If layering knitwear isn’t your thing then try layering a vest or coat over your fave winter dress for added warmth. Like our Drape Camel Vest which looks gorgeous layered over our Spotted Tiered Maxi.

Dress Up Summer Tops with a Statement Scarf. During the "in-between" season... you know the time when it's still warm enough to wear your summer tops but not cold enough for a jacket? Just add a statement scarf to complete the look.

The autumn tones of our Paisley Red Scarf are perfect for layering over summer tops. Or choose a more monotone scarf which makes it easy for pairing with most colours.

Add a Cardigan to Your Fave Denim and Tee Combo. Did you have a fave tee and denim combo that you found yourself wearing most days in summer? Simply add a cardigan and you can keep wearing them right through the winter months.

Besides the comfort factor, cardigans are great for layering during the trans-seasonal months where you need extra warmth at the beginning and end of the day. Why not try our best-selling Rose Gold Cardigan? Or, a statement piece like our Animal Print Cardigan.

Have fun mixing and matching your summer and winter wardrobes. And enjoy putting your own touch on these simple techniques!
