Midi Madness

Midi Madness

For so long now it’s been all about the maxi dress. And while we love the long flowing silhouette of a maxi, fashion is making a move back to the midi length hemline. This more mature, mid calf look is making a serious comeback in winter fashion. And why not… they’re not only comfortable to wear but look very feminine. Here, we’ve given our top 3 tips for styling a midi dress, or skirt, this season.

How to Style A Midi Dress in Winter

Pair it with tight and boots. A pair of tights is the easiest way to transition a midi dress from warmer weather to the cooler months. Pair your midi length dress or skirt, like our Button Front Skirt, with ankle boots to define the bottom half of your legs.

Add a fitted jacket and sneakers. A pair of plain sneakers make any midi dress, like our Stripe Blue Shirt Dress, look more casual with the added bonus of feeling comfortable too. Balance out the more mature look of a midi length dress or skirt with sneakers and a fitted jacket. A denim jacket is the perfect way to finish off this look.

Layer under a long line cardigan or coat. For a more sophisticated look, try layering your midi length dress under a long line cardigan or coat for winter. The long line of the cardigan or coat will draw the eye down the body. By elongating the body you are breaking up the top half of your silhouette.

If you've long been a lover of the maxi, then we've given you plenty of reason to try a midi length hem this winter.
